MUSIC ARTIST KUZI CEE'S CIGAR LOVE STORY

If you made a survival guide to life, what are the key ingredients? "A solid crew that has a diverse skillset and a dope playlist to always keep the vibes up"

What have you learned the most about yourself? "As cheesy as it is, money doesn't buy happiness. I mean yea, all my current problems could be solved if I won the lottery but the happiest moments of my life didn't involve money. It was the people I was with and living in the moment with them. That being said, I learned that as long as I'm with the right people, it doesn't matter what we do.. it'll be lit. I've also learned that I'm a night owl. I'll get way more done from 7pm to 3am than I would in the day."

What is one piece of advice you would give to the future generation? "Always take time to check in with those you love. It may not seem like much but that 5 minute conversation every now and then may be what they need to get through the day/week/month and it'll help keep you grounded to who you are."

What's one vice you wish you could give up? "It's funny this is here because I am currently going all of 2021 without consuming any alcohol. Besides that, I would have to say binge watching tv shows. There have been a lot of sleepless nights because of Netflix and crunchy roll."

What centers you in rough times? My loved ones. They help me stay focused so I can overcome any obstacles.

Name 3 people in your inner circle. "Very tough to narrow it to this but I would say my mom, dad, and one of my sisters. I won't name drop which one so they all don't know."

What inspires you? "I would say my parents inspire me the most. From their story and upbringing, to the current way they are living, it took a lot of hard work and determination. As a kid its something that I never really saw but the more I grow older I see just how much they have put in to their careers, relationship and raising me and my 5 siblings."

What or who are your top 3 style influences? "I don't really have specific influences. I kind of like to take a bit from everything and make it my own but to narrow it down to 3 you could say my style is influenced by Jamie Foxx, A$AP Rocky, and Michael Jackson."

What is your favorite place to shop? "I like streetwear clothing stores a lot.. Especially Graphic t's.. But you can never go wrong with Wal-Mart, they carry all the essentials and every now and then you can find some hidden gems."

What is the kindest thing a stranger has ever done for you? "An old lady once saw my friends and I arguing at the mall in like 8th grade. She came over, told us a story about her life and how not to sweat the little things and cherish the friendships we have especially when we are young. She then bought us all lunch. To this day they are all still my closest friends."

What is the first thing you do when you wake up? "Check my phone for emails and go through all my social media accounts."

What is the last thing you do before you sleep? "Brush my teeth and wash my face. Then I don't fall asleep and I'll watch youtube videos for like 3-4 hours."

What keeps you motivated? "My family and loved ones. They are who I'm doing all of this for. I would also say my goals keep me motivated."

Name 3 Goals you would like to achieve. "I would say:

1) Buy my parents a house somewhere with nice views and warm weather.

2) Win a Grammy. It would be great to be recognized amongst my peers in a respected category for a body of work of mine.

3) A diamond album or song. Not a lot of people have gone diamond."

Name 3 places you would like to visit but have not: "Greece, Bora Bora, and South Korea."

What do you like to do in your spare time? "Play video games."

What would you like people to remember about you? "A legacy that stands on timeless, great music and memories of all the good times we shared."

What is one message you would like to give your fans or supporters? "Don't let anybody tell you what you can or can't do. Whatever it is you want to do in life, do it. I'm not saying quit your day job and go right now, but plan it.. eventually you'll find your way there if you keep working hard. That's what I'm doing right now too."

What is your superpower? "My drive. When I have a goal I am very driven to accomplish it."

If your life were a theme song, name the title. "Dreams and Nightmares. Some dark times but there's some real dream like moments where it doesn't feel like it's real."

What significant challenges have you had to overcome? "I don't know if I have any real significant challenges that I have overcome. Or what qualifies something as significant. I would say having to adapt from moving a lot as a kid would be a challenge. Also I do have some depression and anxiety that I try to keep at bay but I feel like my entire generation does at this point in their lives."

What is your creative process like? "It's pretty random but most of the time I like to find beats then let the words and melodies flow to me. Sometimes I write lyrics down but other times I'll just jump in the booth and punch in. As of late, I've been getting melodies then laying piano or guitar chords onto them then building beats to an Acapella."

What are your plans for the future and what do you hope to accomplish next? "For the rest of this year I want to release a lot of singles then next year come out with another EP. I like creating full bodies of work but it seems like we are in a singles type of wave right now so projects don't get consumed like they used to."
