Jourali Studios Blooms into purpose — where faith meets fashion

Jourali Studios 4th Annual Fashion Show

There’s a raw power that blooms when purpose meets preparation. I got there early. The kind of early that gives you time to watch a moment unfold. The Epic Recreation Center buzzed with quiet anticipation as attendants pointed me toward the venue. Elevator or stairs. I chose the stairs. After reaching the top of the stairs, my phone buzzed — messages, emails, and I look for my ticket — the digital hum before the show.

My head down entranced with the search of locating my ticket, then I heard my name.
I looked up and there she was — Jada Zia Sims. Budding stylist. Bright smile. Full of purpose. We hugged, quick but real, before she vanished backstage to continue shaping beauty behind the scenes.

At check-in, the young woman at the table looked up and said, “I love your fit.” Compliments are currency in fashion; I smiled, said thank you and handed her my phone with the QR code pulled up after her request. She laughed when she realized how early I was — that rare kind of punctual most creatives aspire to but few reach. A quick scan confirmed my VIP status. She handed back my phone, and she and her colleague briefed me on the perks: priority seating, a swag bag, unlimited mocktails, and access to the Style Lounge. The bag revealed few items and mementoes among them a can of @drinkhuzzy — bright, playful, and unapologetically refreshing.

Inside, the music was alive. The kind that breathes. I snapped a few pre-show shots, claimed my seat, and wandered toward the mocktail bar. Two sisters from @theartofdrinks worked the station, radiant in rhythm and laughter. The drink menu read like a mood board: Bloom. Linen & Lemon. Runway Rock. I chose Linen & Lemon. One sip — crisp, citrus, clean — and I knew I’d found my pre-show hit.

The room began to fill. VIPs first, then the crowd. Soon, every seat was filled. The hum in the air turned to pulse. The show began.
The lineup was bold — Knomé. Cousue. Crélucent. And closed with, Jourali Studios.

When Aliyah “Ali” Day took the mic after the finale, her voice slightly trembled fighting to hold back tears. This was the kind of tremble that tells truth. She spoke about prayer, perseverance, and purpose. “I prayed about it,” she said. You could feel it — this wasn't fashion, it was faith in motion. Day was given the assignment. The collection was more than fabric. It was faith stitched into form. Her most challenging show to date as she mentioned having overcome obstacles. Through every obstacle, she rose, bloomed, and built something sacred at the heart of it all Jourali Studios.

What made this show unforgettable wasn’t just the fashion — it was the message. That no matter your past, your losses or your scars, if you’re still here, you still have time to bloom. Time to rise. Time to become.

During an intermission, sponsor Bridgette Jones Founder of Millennial Maven Creative Foundation @millennialmavencf — dressed in florals, and wearing handcrafted earrings from @ScnobysJewelry — delivered words that hit like poetry and said it best:

Bloom isn’t just a show. It’s a spiritual journey — “We’re just making sure that you guys really dig deep within yourselves no matter what is going on in the world. So that you know your skills, your voice, your talent, they are all powerful no matter the circumstances. When we all come together as one, we can all bloom together as one.” A reminder that even through challenges, you can rise into what you were called to be. Millennial Maven Creative Foundation’s mission — helping women and youth enter creative careers — echoed in every detail. From 3D concept workshops to real runway moments, this was legacy-building disguised as fashion.

Torry Abra, Community Engagement Officer spoke on behalf of sponsor Credit Union of Texas and shared these heart warming words I am going to make sure that we do all we can for all of our communities and make a difference one person at a time. The show pulsed with life — set end with a special custom track by @DJStokeyz, created merging AI innovation with inspiration. The lyrics echoed, underscored the soul of the evening and mirrored the message: resilience unity and rebirth. Dallas’s fashion elite showed up: Emmy award-winning stylist @CatrinaTheCreative and production pro Willie Johnson of @J3productions_. Influencers, designers, dreamers — all gathered in a shared act of celebration. Witnesses to a movement more than a moment.

At the Bloom Style Lounge, host @theAkilahYaas interviewed guests between fit checks, her bold two-toned dress catching every flash embodying the spirit of the night: color, courage and culture. Florals framed the bar sponsored by Classy Lite Bites by bobbie @litebiteswithclass, laughter filled the air, and creativity bloomed — quite literally — in every corner.

What made Bloom special wasn’t the clothes alone. It was the message.
That growth is gritty. That beauty requires becoming.
That even after the storm, you can still rise — and bloom.

Because bloom wasn’t just an event. It was a reminder — You’re still becoming. Your’e Still Blooming.
